It is a fairly easy website to work around which makes thing easier for parents to check in to see what is happening in their child's classes. The first thing that is extremely beneficial is that there are dates under the Homework tab as to when assignments are due. Also, when parents click on an assignment, a small description of the homework appears and the parent knows what the assignment is about.
Another way this website is a great way for students and parents to know and remember what is going on in the classroom is that under 'Classroom News', there are dates as to what is going on in the music department such as concert times and dates and other events such as talent shows and rehearsals.
One thing that is quite quirky is that Mr. DeLuca added a blog featuring pieces that he is listening to at the time. It gives students a chance to listen to what their teacher is listening to and it opens up a line of communication about music that students might not be listening to.
